Since the purchase a new PC and going from Windows 7 to Windows 10 my HP PSC printer will only print a few lines before going into error and leaving the hp psc 950 driver windows 10 unfinished. I’m helping a friend upgrade to a newer computer. It works fine on her old machine. I’ve found other people on these boards with Win 10 compatability issues but all your solutions are out of date with the creators update. I found the driver that comes with windows and tried to install it manualy but got a “Printer driver was not installed” error. You might regain basic print function for this older printer using the Windows 10 “Add a Printer” procedure.

If a full feature driver from HP is not available for your printer, you must install the built-in print driver. Click Add a Local or Network Printer…. Choose a Printer Port menu :. Install the Printer menu :. Right column: Scroll, search, select click printer. Wait several minutes for list to update. Left column : HP. Right column : Scroll, search, select printer.
